The Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheatre dating back to the 1st century A.D. and can hold up to 15,000 spectators.
In this open-air theatre, internationally renowned artists and singers perform operas including Aida, Nabucco, Carmen, La Traviata, and many more.
The Arena Opera Festival takes place every summer from June to September and is considered one of the most important and famous festivals of its kind, much appreciated by tourists from all over the world. All tickets are sold well in advance, so if you want to attend one of the scheduled performances, you should organise yourself in advance.
