Brescia

Brescia is a city with an ancient history dating back to Roman times.

Among its main monuments are the Capitoline Temple, Brescia Castle, the Old Cathedral and the New Cathedral.

The city is known for its rich artistic heritage, with museums such as the Santa Giulia, which, housed in an ancient monastery, tells the story of Brescia through numerous artifacts and works of art, as well as the Tosio Martinengo Gallery, which houses artists such as Raphael and Moretto, among others.

Brescia, both in summer and winter, is also culturally vibrant, with numerous events and festivals such as those held at the Brescia Castle, such as the Brescia gin festival and various musical concerts.

It is also known for its gastronomic traditions, which include dishes such as casoncelli, Brescia spit, and Franciacorta wines.

In addition to the Teatro Grande, which offers a rich program of operas, concerts, and performances, the city hosts events such as the Mille Miglia, the historic vintage car race, the Opera Festival, and the Music Festival, touring the streets of the center and completely free of charge, which aim to bring shows and concerts to the main streets and squares of the city while entertaining citizens and tourists alike.
